HELP me Understand

I am in the middle of a divorce and its not nice, my soon to be ex is trying to be the dad he has never been before and Im having the hardest time trying to be a chrisitian about all this. He left us on Valentines Day, went to a work related business trip for 2 days and I was the 1 as usual who had to help the kids with there emotions, so my question is how and when will I ever get to the point that I am not discusted by the look of his face and also how when the kids come home they had a good time and I feel like Im loosing control...Please if you have any advice!!!!!
