Preventing Unwanted Body Hair

I'm a male in my early 20s and would like to know if there are any effective methods for preventing body hair growth in areas it has not yet matured.

I recently began noticing very fine hair developing on my chest that started colorless and has slowly turned a little darker near the root. If I wax the area or use a hair removal cream before the hair matures, can I stop it from growing later on? I've heard of girls waxing their legs early on to damage the follicles and prevent later hair growth.

Dear Anon,

There are many ways to remove unwanted hair. The main ways include waxing (which removes the entire hair down to its root), depilatories (cream or liquid that removes hair from the skin surface), electrolysis (electric current transmitted to hair root) and laser treatment (laser directed at hair pigment leading to destruction of hair follicle and more permanent hair removal).

I would suggest you make a consultation appointment for laser hair removal as it is an effective means of decreasing and ultimately eliminating unwanted dark hairs.
