Anti-ageing Cream Question
MrsNayNay posted:
I'v been using this Anti-ageing cream but it seems to be breaking my face out. Any suggestions to better products that wont clog your pores and have a ton of sun screen in them?
Whats a good age to start using ageing cream, i know that i am only 23 but i have 2 kids and can already start seeing the darkness and fine lines underneath my eyes. My mother had gotten the lines under her eyes quick and i'm trying to prevent them. So any suggestions on things i could try or whats the best (non extriemely expensive) product(s) you recommend me to try out?
Mary Ruth Buchness, MD responded:
Dear MrsNayNay,
It's great that you want to start taking care of your skin to prevent skin aging. In fair skinned people like you, a "ton of sunscreen" is the key. You need to look for products that are labelled, "non-comedogenic." This means that they tend not to cause acne. If a product does not have this label, assume that it will break you out. Neutrogena Dry Touch is a good sunblock that won't break you out, but Coppertone and many other companies have them as well. If you want to use an antiaging product, look for something with retinol in it. Because you are acne-prone, you may want to try a serum. RoC has several products available that are not too expensive. Lastly, don't forget the kids. Neutrogena has a new sunblock spray that can be applied to wet skin.
Good luck!
