Bumps on Foot that Dermatologist said to 'wait and see'
    An_247263 posted:
I'm concerned because I have two red bumps in the center of my foot. They're right next to each other and look like the start of a rash that didn't spread farther. They've been there about a month.

I went to a dermatologist and she couldn't determine what the bumps were. She said it could be moles forming, or I might have stepped on a bug and gotten bit, or a number of other things. She said that things on the foot take a while to heal because of the constant strain on the skin and that if it was still there in a month to come back.

She said it didn't seem like anything to be concerned about, but I can't help but worry. Does her response seem normal and should I wait a month to see if it goes away on its own or should I find another doctor?
    Mohiba K Tareen, MD responded:
    Dear An,

There are many different personalities of dermatologists- some are more laid back and some are more pro-active. That does not mean she is a bad doc- that is just her style

If you are concerned about these lesions, see another derm and ask for a skin biopsy to remove them. Most dermatologists would be happy to give you a 100% answer!

    I hope that helps
