Help! Weird bumps out of nowhere by my eye!
    An_247503 posted:
I'm 18, and I've never had acne. I also don't wear makeup. So, I've never washed my face. I know I have keratosis pilaris, but the bumps I have on my cheeks and upper arms because of it have always been SO tiny that I can't even see them, only feel them when I brush my hand across my skin. And, those never hurt. Not to mention, they're supposed to start going away soon, according to my doctor. Also, I do have a bad nervous habit of rubbing my skin, but I've been doing that (and trying not to) for a long(ish) time. I haven't made any major dietary changes or anything like that in years.
So, I just started college, and after a lecture about hygiene, I decided to start taking better care of my face. I got some neutragena stuff - a gentle exfoliating scrub, a daily cleansing foam, and a facial moisturizer. After using that for three days, I noticed a few small bumps by my left eye, mostly by the outer corner. After four days, it was worse. After I washed my face this morning, they began to sting, and it's been a few hours and it still hurts. What's going on? Should I just stop using any of those products and see what happens??

    Hi Anon and Welcome!

Please contact your doctor to see if you may be having an allergic reaction to the products and suggest something to calm the area.
