Cosmetic Treatments for Men-- Looking Younger, Better, and More Masculine!
    avatar
    Mohiba K Tareen, MD posted:
Cosmetic treatments for men are becoming more popular than ever before. In 2011, more than 300,000 men received Botox treatment for their wrinkles! Men are quickly learning that cosmetic treatments, including Botox and fillers, can help them to keep their youthful appearance — without anyone knowing they have had a cosmetic treatment.

At Tareen Dermatology in Minnesota, these are some of the most common treatments requested by men. Maybe you or your loved ones could benefit from one of these?

    • Botox and Dysport: The most common areas for men to have Botox or Dysport are the glabella (between the brows), crows feet (lines at the sides of the eyes), and the horizontal wrinkles on the forehead. These areas allow men to look more relaxed, while maintaining a masculine appearance.
    • Fillers: Restylane, Perlane, and Radiesse are all popular dermal fillers used to replenish lost volume for men. These fillers can be used in many areas of the face, though men typically benefit most from treatment to their tear trough (to fill in the hollowness under their eyes) and nasolabial folds (smile lines.)
    • Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion uses diamond exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and unveil the healthier, brighter skin just beneath the surface. Men love the improved texture of the skin that is achieved with no down time!
    • Chemical Peels: Chemical peels are popular with our male patients who have hyperpigmentation (from old acne lesions or shaving bumps), rosacea, or just dull skin.
When performed by an experienced dermatologist, cosmetic treatments can help men to look younger and healthier, while keeping the desired masculine look.
