    Dear An,

    What a frustrating problem!

I would call a local university dermatology department and tell them your story and see if they can get you in for a low cost visit. Also, I know that I volunteer at a federal clinic in St Paul - so also try calling some federal run programs.

Any bleeding spot should be checked to make sure that it is not skin cancer.

    I hope that helps

thank you i will look into the dermatology department i tried to go to a clinic they say i made too much money. i am lower middle class just in the area that i make enough to pay my bills but no extras. evidently if you work you cant get help. we really need to fix medical care. thank you i would not have though of the college.

    Dear An,

It is a travesty that when you work hard, you may be denied medical care because "you make too much." I commend you for working hard! I know at Columbia Univ in New York City where I did my residency they have many low cost programs for the uninsured that need medical care.

    Good luck!
