I have pain that feels like the pain of shingles, which I have had twice. The pain is only on my right side, there is no rash & the pain has moved to three different spots. Any idea's what this could be?

Dear An,

There is a rare variant of shingles that only affects the nerves and does NOT cause any vesicular (blister-like) lesions on the skin. If you have a history, I would call your docs office- they may put you on anti-virals over the phone or want to see you in person. You should seek treatment to prevent any chronic pain later on.

I hope that helps
