Mysterious bumps appearing on and off for months

    aftertheteacups posted:

I have been having these red bumps appear on my skin for months. They appear in groups and sometimes just a bump on its own (Like in the picture). If it is a group, it will often be in a row, and in this pattern:

Bump (two inches of space) Bump (one inch of space) bump.
They occur every couple of weeks, although I did have several months in between outbreaks recently. They are slightly itchy & slightly sore. Usually, they range between a half an inch to two inches in size. They have no entry point like a bite. When they fade they turn to bruises. They have occurred on my breasts, neck, shoulders, lower legs, stomach, back.

Hi, I was just wondering if you ever found out what was happening with these bumps, such as from a local doctor. I am curious because I basically the exact same thing happening to me.

Go to your doctor ASAP, I had the same problem and was diagnosed with scabies just this morning, you need to go get that checked out.

    Hi Thompsonco,

Thank you for reaching out to me. I was never able to get a diagnosis. The bumps have not appeared since I posted that basically (that picture was my last bump). Still, it went on for almost a year and after three doctors I was never able to get a diagnosis. My primary doctor believes that they will come back.

My regret is not asking to have a biopsy. If you see this message (and aren't like me and disappear for several months from the boards), could you let me know more about what has been happening to you?

I am almost 24 years old, and am basically healthy except for poor circulation (I have Raynaud's). My mother has lupus, and since Raynaud's can be a symptom of lupus I have become concerned that these bumps are autoimmune in nature.

My children started to get them. One by one over a month ago. It started with my older two skipped one, and has now developed on my infant. My spouse has even began to get them. They come and go as they please. There is no sign of any type of bugs. There is no diagnosis for it. I feel so helpless
