    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Hi. I have light white patches at both the cheeks, those areas are so soft and feel the face is sticky after shaving. Sometime eyebrows and cheek are itchy. I have this for last 3 months. Can you suggest me what it could be. Thanks for you help.

    Thanks

The thing is, there are many reasons for the occurrence of white patches on face. Primarily, the exact cause needs to be identified. My daughter had a similar problem on her cheeks due to leucoderma, a skin condition that results in de-pigmentation. She was undergone photo light therapy from a laser clinic in Toronto which was very effective. The results could be seen a few days after the treatment. It has been five months and no issues yet.
