I was in a car accident many years ago (over 30) and ended up with a compound fracture of my right tibia. The fracture appeared to heal fine and I played many sports without issue. I did have some scar tissue where the bone came through the skin but it never seemed to bother me in the past. Over the past year, I have experienced swelling and redness even scabbing over this scar tissue and cannot seem to get it to go away. I have put neosporin on it, kept it very clean and it just continues to exhibit these characteristics. What can be my problem? Thank you!
