Shingles

I had a rash on my back for about 10 days. When I went to see my Doctor, he told me that I have Shingles. He prescribed Valtrex and a topiclal ointment.

I looked at the pictures of other cases on Web MD and mine seems relatively small and mild in scope compared to some. Once the rash and discomfort dissapate, is there anything I can do to help prevent a reoccurence?

If you are within the age guidelines, you can get the shingles vaccine. I know that for a while Rite-Aide was giving them.
