swelling from sunburn

I live in Southwest Florida and was out on the water all day today. Even with sunblock I have severe sunburn from my knees down to my toes on both legs. My left ankle and foot seems to have swollen to the point where I can't flex my toes very far and I the ankle bones that are normally visible is completely swollen over. Is this something that will get better on it's own or should I see a doctor? Also, I'm using aloe and it's not helping with the burning at all. Is there anything that would work better than straight aloe or an aloe/topical Lidocaine product? Thanks!
