Welts when I scratch

For the past few months I have been experiencing VERY random "hive" like attacks. Scratching most definitely made things worse. The sensation of burning and horrible need to scratch came with these random welts. I mainly get the welts in the backside bend of my knees, Softer skin areas on my arms , back and front of my thighs, and occasionally calfs and lower back. I have considered all possibilities and have researched MANY home remedies. I feel like I have researched just about every area of illness this hive like, rash like, allergy like reaction is that I am having. I have been to doctors and still nothing has truly helped for long periods of time. The only I have not done, is allergy testing. I know I need to. I am unable to go for now, so I just "need to get by" until the official allergy testing. I might find this is not an allergy. I need to consider all options. Any advice or personal experience of the same symptoms would be greatly appreciated!!
