Open Sores on Inner thighs

In July I bought my first pair of shorts that were no long. They cut right in the middle of my leg. It is good to note that I am not a small girl, i weigh about 235 pounds and am only 21 years old. My thighs chaffed alot when wearing shorts or skirts, even if I put deodorant on them. Recently there are lots of red bumps on both of my inner thighs. They are all located in a large circle area, some are even open almost pits. Some are also like pimples except that are all very sore. I don't know if this is just from sweat and chaffing or if this is an actual problem. It is also important to note that I don't have medical insurance, therefore I am asking for help on here. Anyone else have this problem???
