    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

My daughter-in-law had a baby 3 months ago and is now losing handfuls of hair. Would it be a good diagnosis to say that this will pass? Losing hair is part of body changes for women after experiencing child birth.

    Hello 9Grams and Welcome -

Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of your grandchild!

This resource explains not to be surprised if you loose more hair than normal during the first year after childbirth. This slideshow, Women's Hair Loss , discusses many reasons for hair loss. It states after pregnancy it may take up to two years for hair to return to normal.

For her to connect and see if other new moms are also experiencing this please repost with our Baby's First Year Community.

    Take Care,
    Elizabeth
