I am on my 4th week of shingles after reading what you have printed I have a few questions. I have Ramsay hunt syndrome. Eye,ear,nose,roof of mouth affected. I have had a few eposodes that start with my legs torso and arm tremble my knees give out and I fall. Is this a side effect of shingles? Is it permanet? Should I seek help from my pc dr or someone else?

There is a condition called post-herpetic neuralgia where there may be prolonged pain. You should consult your primary, as there are some great meds that work on the nerves to help block the abnormal impulses.

If your primary cannot help, a neurologist may be necessary.
