    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Skin doesn't heal properly
    dimples_5594 posted:
For years, I've noticed that my skin does not heal properly. I have stretch marks that still have a lot of pigment even though I've had since elementary school (I'm 18 now). My tans take forever to fade. Whenever I get acne,it always turns to a red mark that darkens to a brown mark. I've had the same ones for years. Also, when I get even a little cut, it'll leave a mark behind. What is causing this and what I can I do about it? It's really bothersome and it keeps me from looking my best.

    Any expert opinions, please?

Your nutritional status, particularly your protein levels, should be checked. Also make sure that your doc does a thyroid and iron check.

    I hope that helps
