Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia

I was diagnosed a year ago with frontal fibrosing alopecia, which was explained to me as an overactive immune system attacking my hair folicles and killing them. I am a female experiencing permanent hair loss. I've been told this is a rare condition. We have tried many medications to treat this disorder but nothing has worked so far. My doctor says we are at the end of the line and there is nothing more she can think of to try to treat the condition. I don't have a lot of confidence in her, so I am looking for other ideas to treat this condition or resources for more information. I cannot find much on the web about this condition.
