Low grade itching

ghenry posted:
I suffer from a low grade itch over most of my body. It had gone on for a couple of years now. No rash. No food or medication tie in that I can isolate. I use dermatologist approved "free" clothes detergent and softener. Seems more intense in genital area but really is an all-over itch. I've tried taking OTC Benadryl, Claritin, etc. No luck.

Dear ghenry,

There is no reason to suffer from itching. Many studies show that itching is as deleterious to quality of life as pain.

Have you seen a dermatologist. You may have minor eczema, psoriasis, or a number of other skin ailments that may be simply treated.

I hope that helps
