Bumps on top of Foot
jackieison posted:
Two days ago, I started to notice bumps appearing on the top of my foot. I wear sandals all the time and this part of my foot is always exposed. The bumps look like mosquito bites but they don't itch. They also are in an oval pattern. I have never had ringworm, so I looked up pictures of it and only one picture (out of dozens) even remotely resembled it. It's not a severe rash, and I am experiencing no pain or itching. My concern at this point is if it is something contagious or may need to be treated.
Mohiba K Tareen, MD responded:
Dear Jackie,
Many lesions, other than fungus, can cause bumps in an oval distribution. You may be experiencing psoriasis, nummular dermatitis, a more rare but not dangerous condition referred to as granuloma annulare, or even flat warts. I would wait one to two weeks to see if any improvement, and if not, consult your dermatologist.

I hope that helps
