    Itching skin

For several years I had intermittent itching which was intense, but had no visible rash or anything, mainly on my left arm. In the past 6 months or so, it has spread to my other arm, and now I have little dots like blood blisters, too. It is still only on my arms. Dermatologist had me try Sarna lotion, and another gave me prescription cortisone cream. Both work better than nothing, but I have to use at least twice a day to keep it at bay. When it starts, the itching is so terrible, you cannot help scratching. I have used ice packs to numb it, and that helps, too. It's weird, and the DR. said it just happens...??? Kind of concerns me that these little spots now appear...kind of resemble what we call blood blisters, but nothing is pinched. Some are tiny, and others actually start to bleed. I guess it's not fatal, but I'd sure like to be rid of it. Could it be a sun sensitivity? No new pets, not likely detergent, as only on arms.

I looked at symtoms for lymphoma...it does talk about TOTAL body itching....so maybe doesn't apply here, but good catch.
