Insomnia after thyroid removal

I had my left thyroid removed due to tumors three years ago in 2007 I have not had a decent night sleep without having to take sleeping pills. I am looking for a remedy or if there is anything that can be done like a reversal or something. I don't want to take sleeping pills the rest of my life...

Dear Anon_9146,

Have you discussed this with the doctor who performed the surgery? Have you been to see a doctor who specializes in sleep disorders?
