    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Hi Jphillips and welcome to WebMD,

What you're experiencing is not unusual for someone who has had abuse in their past, abuse which hasn't been processed yet in therapy.

I am not a health expert but was myself abused and had those awful recurring nightmares until I worked through my abuse issues in therapy. And my experience is not uncommon according to all the years I've moderated various communities here on WebMD. I share this because I want you to know that it is possible to heal.

I really encourage you to work with a therapist who is familiar with past abuse issues.

And I invite you to talk with others (without the all-capitals please) on our Sexual Abuse Survivors Community ; despite the name, we talk about all kinds of abuse there, not just sexual.
