    Hi Maddy,

From your name, are you currently serving? Are you overseas?

A lot of the approaches to insomnia is good sleep hygiene - changing your evening habits, your room, etc. - and those things may be difficult for you if you're serving, whether overseas or not.

Have you discussed this with your doctor again to see if there are other medications which can help?

I struggled for years to be heard, because I too struggled with sleeping at night and nightmares, but I recently learned that I have narcolepsy. I could only sleep about 2-3 hours a night and sleep meds did not work; I still woke up at the same time every night.

I recommend seeing a sleep specialist and having a sleep study done, which includes both day and night.
