insomnia after brain surgery

I had an anaplastic astrocytoma removed on 1/13/03. Ever since my surgery I have not been able to sleep without a sleeping pill. I had 8 weeks of radiation and 10 months of chemo. I asked my neurosurgeon about it right after my surgery and he told me it had nothing to do with my surgery. I've been on ambien for 10 years now. I've tried lunesta, ambien cr, ambien with trazadone, ambien with clonopin and nuerosleep. I guess because I've been on ambien for so long my body has just become immune to it. If I am able to fall asleep I only sleep for about 3 hours on a good night. I don't know what else to try.
