Rough nights sleep

Hi all, I was hoping somebody might be able to give me some insight. Throughout my life I've been told by multiple people that I move a lot in my sleep. It's always been a joke until I recently found out that my significant other is losing out on sleep because of my moving around. Does anybody know a way to keep me from moving so much? I actually have very specific movements that I regularly perform. I spin into blankets wrapping myself up like a burrito, I extend my arm and push away from things (people, walls, tables, etc.), and I tend to kick. I've been told that I DO snore however it's very light. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you thank you thank you!

I talk and move around acting out my dreams - whether they are good ones of bad. I sometimes end up with my feet at the head of the bed and my head at the foot of the bed. Pillows are usually on the floor because I have kicked them off.
You might want to ask your doctor about REM behavior disorder. I've had it for the last 11 years and my husband has lost a lot of sleep over it. It helps to have another room to go to so he can rest.
Good luck!

Hi mrouse99,

If you would like to read more about REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, I found this WebMD article that might be of help. WebMD also has this list of tips for people with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder to take to ensure their safety and that of their bed partner.
