Sleep Disorder
busaonlyd posted:
Question. I have had a sleep disorder for many years but didn't know it. I only knew of narcolepsy and associated sleep apnea with loud excessive snoring. I have always had difficulty falling and staying asleep, which leaves me very tired during the day. Often falling asleep in meetings and while driving. After 27 years in the Military I had a sleep study after I retired. I was diagnosed with mild obstructive sleep apnea. While trying to get awarded compensation from VA, I have this question. Is it probable to develop this condition in a year? (No weight gain 71 inches 198 pounds) Is it more probable that this is something I have had for years? Please advise.

Dear busaonlyd,

Your questions are good ones, but I think they require expert help from a medical lawyer. I would suggest a consult, and then discussing whether or not getting an expert evaluation and written opinion on your behalf would be helpfil with your case with the VA.

Yours in health,
