I sleep sitting up in my wheelchair by putting my knees against the bed where I have 5 pillows that I slide into my lap to lay my head on. The problem is my legs are retaing water from not being elivated. Any suggestions to correct this problem?

Hi Chicker and welcome to WebMD,

Please discuss this with your doctor. It's possible working with a physical therapist who understands your health condition(s) could come up with some solutions for you.

Hopefully others here will have some ideas for you.

Is there any way you can elevate your legs in any way, while still creating that cushioned area on your lap to rest your head on?
