The Patch
Daniel841 posted:
I am currently on Nicoderm CQ step 1 21mg over 24 hours. I use to smoke around 10-15 cigarettes however i think i am ready for step 2. I still have a lot of patches and think its a waste of money to just throw them away. I did some research and found that cutting the patch in half is not recommended since it will release all the nicotine at once. I came up with an idea to put a piece of plastic wrap on the middle of the patch so it is does not make contact with my skin. Is this alright to do? Has anyone tried anything like this? Will this actually lower the nicotine delivery? Thank you and hope to hear from someone soon!

I just started step 1 too on my 5th day. I have smoked for 20 years. I have tried my own way and it has never worked...period.
I am going to follow there directions this time.

According to the box it says stay on step 1 for 4 weeks.
how many more weeks do you have to go? Would you not be spending the more money on cigarettes in the long run.

My opinion is stick it out. I know that does not answer your question but in my experience our addiction comes up with crazy questions like that.
