I am ready and willing and need support. I am quitting nicotine which can be one of the deadliest addictions. It is almost funny that there are no 12 step groups out there for cigarettes. I know I would feel dumb showing up to a meeting and saying my name is Robert and I am a addicted to cigarettes.

Hi...It is time for me to quit too. I haven't set a date to stop yet but I will do it, I HAVE TO!!! Last Wednesday I was to my Dr. and she put me on an inhaler and ordered a chest -ray. What a wake-up call!! I've tried the patch and I'm allergic to it...I've tried chantix...the first pill made me really mental!! That was so scary, the rest were thrown out. I can't chew the gum because of dentures that it sticks to. So I am doing it with the help of hard candy which I will have plenty of and crocheting which I plan to take up to keep my hands busy.

I need the help of friends here as I have no family and am alone most of the time. Please help, I want to do it....I'm scared though cause I do enjoy it....I Know I have to for my heallth and for the money I will save....therefore I WILL do it.
