    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Hi larvic,

According to this WebMD article on Quitting Smoking, "Symptoms of nicotine withdrawal are worst within the first week or so after you quit. They may last a few weeks. Some people crave cigarettes for months." Each person is different and there are medications and treatments that can definitely help you through the cravings.

I hope that this information helps you a little and you decide to go through with this task. I wish you the best!
