I am doing good this time! because I am not trippin and sayin oh I give up cause I have already failed. Shoot... I was at the casino. thats ok. I was at the casino. next time I go the casino hopefully Ill be quit so long the lil old ladies at the coin slots with their old saggy skin wont make me jealous with their cigarettes, and ill be glad I aint lookin like em when I get older. right?! am I right?!
So I made the commitment august 23rd and I went all week with out smoking anything but 2 prime times. and then when I got to the casino I bought two packs and smoked those friday and saturday. Now its been 4 days since I have smoked. I am not really bothered by it. I thought about digging in my butt tray yesterday and refrained from doing so by telling myself thats disgusting, which it is.
now I am hoping I can make it through this weekend with out fouling up again....

So last night I went to my friends house and he just kept handing me cigarettes, and I didnt protest. I think I smoked like 5 with him. And I was only there for like an hour or 2... And my biggest problem in the past has always been I get extremely irritable when I am quitting. I have been sucking on dum dums or chewing gum when I have cravings. and that has been doing alright. But I have this wave of anger that has come over me just today. Everyone and everything is pissing me off right now. I am at work and plan to buy a pack when I leave. Which I know I will regret when I wake up tomoro coughing. How do I deal with the irritability?

so I have been doing terrible! I bought a pak a couple days ago. I still have like 7.. or so left. But yeah I have been smoking. And I wake up in the morning with crap in my throat feeling like crap, and been coughing so hard my eyes water, I turn red, and break out in a sweat. I cough so hard I need to take 5 minutes to recover from these and the onset of them always comes right when I bend over to do something for a patient at work, then I turn red and have to leave the room with out saying anything to my patients coughing my ass off. I really need to stop smoking. I wasnt coughing this way at allwhen I had quit, and as soon as I start up again it comes right back so there you go, I need to quit.

I'm sorry to hear about your set back. Listen sometimes it takes multiple tries to quit for good! Keep trying!
And please don't take this the wrong way, but for a time, you need to not be near that friend that's handing you ciggys! Beat it first then you can handle the ones being passed around. Or ask him to please please respect that you are trying to quit and not hand you some or light up around you. You need to keep trying. :) hang in there!!
