    I am 2 days in a stop smoking try. I am taking chantix for the second time. It doesn"t seem to working as well as it did the first time I tried it. does anyone know if you can use a nicotine patch when u are taking chantix for a little extra support? please respond soon I am in crisis

    the patch is not recommended with chantix...if you read the instructions in the leaflet that comes with chantix it will state this. I have tried chantix as well once with no success. will power is what works.consult your doctor as I am not an expert.

    I successfully quit with Chantix, but didn't follow their directions. I followed the advice of a friend who used it to quit. Don't pick a "quit date". Just keep using the drug and smoking until eventually you stop thinking about it and notice you're not smoking as much as you used to. It' an amazing drug and I can't believe I actually kicked the habit after smoking for 40 years. GOOD LUCK.
