I know that need to quit and have done so on different occasions, but never longer than a day. I hit a stressful event and then crave a cigarette. There are no support groups in my area. Any suggestions to staying committed with the support I need? Thank You.

You just have to keep in your mind that u are strong and u can do it. I quit for a month and was with a group of people smoking and then I decided to go back to smoking, I was so mad at myself. I just know that You really have to want to quit to do it. I am now quit for amonth again and I just tell myself i dont want to start the quit process again and that was motivation enough for me.

A month would be great. I have trouble putting together a couple of days. Good for u on lasting that long and continuing. What was you quit process? To bad this online program does not have a twelve step program in order to be held accountable in reference to quitting. It would be good to reach out to someone when that urge comes along. But thanks for your response just the same.

I couldnt do it cold turkey I tried that before and like u I couldnt last one day. I went to my doctor and got chantix it was the only thing that worked for me I got it half price through my job the only side effect I had was vivid dreams that I could handle.
