Is it addiction or something else?

Recently I found out my husband smokes a half a pack of cigarettes a day at the office which is infuriating! He's been lying to me and sneaking this disgusting habit for months now. He tells me he's addicted but he doesn't smoke or has the urge to on the weekends when home. Is he really addicted if he can go all weekend and holidays w/o smoking?

As a smoker I know where he is coming from. There is no excuse or justification that I can say for myself or your husband, and you do have every right to be upset. Me personally I feel my reasons for smoking are for either being upset, stressed or a combination of the two. I do not smoke at home, in the car, or any place else but work. I can go days without touching a cigarette at all and not think about it at all. still not an excuse, but I realize what I am doing however I am still looking for the right way or combination to help me to quit, hopefully he will too. thank you for your input it is helpful
