I finally quit smoking after 3 years. Its been 3 weeks since ive had a cigarette. My face is disgusting. I have been using neutragena,'s foaming acne daily scrub night and day. It seems like as the zits from the day before get better new bigger ones appear. How long do I have to deal with this? Im 26 years old and I am otherwise healthy, I eat veggies and I exercise daily. What do I do?

Hello raevoigt3805,
Firstly, congratulations on you quitting smoking! I think that your body is begining to regulate its hormones again and clearing the toxins from cigarettes out of your body. I have been a smoker for 10 years and am around the same age as you and have had up and down acne problems and I believe that it is due to my continual habit. Just stick with your washing night and day regime and I believe you will see your face clear up- also stay away from the cigarettes AND the smoke. Good luck.
