Hi! Can somebody please help and answer my girlfriends question? I am a light smoker and we have been together for a year and a half. Can or will she have tobacco or traces of in her saliva when she goes for a physical for her insurance purposes. She doesn't smoke; I do. Will this affect her in anyway?
Thank you
biddens47 responded:
100% no. Unless she uses directly no worries. Now, if you chewed and some of that went into her mouth then yes possibly. If anything, she could get sick from the toxins in your saliva from smoking unless you brush teeth before kissing.
Jonathan Foulds, PhD responded:
No I really don't think that will affect the concentration of nicotine (or its main metabolite, cotinine) in any meaningful way.
