gymnastics injury
jobeck10 posted:
My daughter is 15 years old and a level 9 gymnast. Early in the season she had a slight sprained ankle. She went to physical therapy and continued to compete. All of a sudden she started getting achilles pain that ran all the way up her calf. The pain was bearable with a watered down routine, so we waited until the competitive season was done nd talked to an Ortho doctor. He said she had acilles tendinosis. He put her in a boot for 3 weks and that didn't help at all so he sent her to PT. it has been 3 months now with no gymnastics and there has ben little to no change in the achilles pain. How long should this take to get better or at least show some improvement? Thanks for any advice you can give me. She is going nuts not being able to d gymnastics.
