Leg Trouble Help Anyone?

An_246159 posted:

I ran alot during the school months and took a month break. A week ago I started up again and on the fourth day my leg suddenly gave out. The pain is on the left side of my knee on the bone that sticks out and it becomes very painful when I walk and sometimes the pain radiates down. When I am sitting however sometimes I feel no pain at all but it doesn't make sense to me since it is a little swollen also. Does anyone have any ideas what I might have done to it?

Mary Ann Wilmarth, PT, DPT, OCS responded:
It sounds like you are having the most pain when you are bearing weight on your leg. I would recommend that you see a physician or physical therapist to have an evaluation of this problem.
