Pro/Cons of using Patellar Tendon or Hamstring Tendon to fix ACL

Hello,

I tore my ACL a few days ago. The orthopedist gave me the option to use my Patellar Tendon or Hamstring Tendon. I haven't seen definitive information that says one is better than the other. I just know that professional athletes use the Patellar Tendon. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Scott
