ACL Replacement Options

My 21 year old son tore his ACL and (Anterior Meniscus-I think, he tore some Meniscus). He has seen 2 different orthopedic surgeons, one recommends a cadaver achilles tendon for replacement of the ACL, the other recommends harvesting his patella tendon for the replacement. the latter claims the Patella for someone his age lasts longer, has less rate of failure...help! They both seem to be good, qualified surgeons who know what they are doing.
