felt pop then vibration in hand/wrist

This isn't sports-related, but it seems like this might be a good spot to find an answer. I volunteer at my local library, and was using my hand to push two books apart so that I could put another book in between them. I felt and maybe heard a big pop in my hand, or maybe wrist, and then felt a vibration inside of my hand/wrist/forearm that I could also feel from the outside. It lasted for about a minute. There was no pain and I have full range of motion. But it freaked me out! Any idea what could have happened?
