    NECKAND SHOULDER BLADE PAIN

    IT IS WORST WHEN ,I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING,I HAVE STIFFNESS IN MY NECK. PAIN GOING DOWN MY BACK TOWARDS MY SHOULDER BLADE.IT FEELS SO MUCH BETTER WITH HOT PACKS OR, A HEAT RUB OR,PUT ASPERCREAM,ON IT, BUT THE PAIN DOES COME BACK BUT, AS LONG AS I AM PHYSICALLY ACTIVE DOING HOUSE HOLD WORK OR WHAT EVER NO PAIN. BUT WHEN I COME TO A REST AFTER, A LONG PERIOD OF TIME IT STARTS UP AGAIN.CAN ANYONE HELP IS THIS JUST WITH OLD AGE OR WHAT I AM 46YRS.OLD.

    Well, I wouldn't call 46 "old age"! It think it's time for a trip to the doctor to rule out anything serious. You might also ask for a physical therapist referral - a PT can help you do exercises to alleviate pain and problems as you age.
