I severely sprained my right ankle last Sat. Swelling is going down, but now i have a large blister over the injury area. Can someone tell me if a sprain can cause a blister?

Hi ckels!

I'm sorry to hear about your ankle and hope that you are feeling better. Here is the WebMD Ankle Sprain Overview to get information as far as what to expect, treatment and prevention. It does state that bruising is a normal symptom, though I'm unsure of blistering. Could this be from rubbing of a shoe, cast, etc?

Take care and keep us posted!
Amelia
