Do strokes cause hearing loss?

I have some abnormal hearing loss on the same side of my head as my stroke was on. Could it have been caused by my stroke?

(It was abnormal because I have lost hearing in the lower tones, whereas hearing loss from noise causes loss of hearing in the higher notes.)
