Pain after stroke

My 76 year old father suffered a severe stroke 16 days ago. His speech and the whole right side of his body is paralyzed. He did not have a bowell movement for 12 days and they gave him medicine, enema, and suppository. He finally did. The day after this, he has had severe lower abdominal pain, super nauseated, hiccups periodically, became dehydrated, and now is so fatigued he can barely stay awake
The put him on IV, gave him Tramadol, and an anti-spasmadic drug. No improvement at all on any of the symptoms and they are now putting him back in the hospital. Does anyone have any previous case history on the above? They have done, blood tests, oxygen, and MRI. They did see he had some kidney stones in the kidney, but concluded that is not the problem. Any help would be appreciated..
