Looking for information about alcohol intake

How much alcohol would need to be consumed to have a reading of 6mg/10ml in urine after 60 hours? Assume a short slim young man. Is there a table/chart somewhere with this information? Thanks a lot.

James Golden, MD responded:
Generally, the metabolic rate of alcohol is the same for everyone. This concept is referred to as 'zero order kinetics.' Amounts of alcohol detected in the urine, however, may not be reliable because of residual urine considerations. That being said, it is possible to back-calculate based on urine alcohol concentrations if double-voided urine testing is implemented (Double-voided refers to a urine specimen collected after first emptying the bladder and then waiting until another specimen can be collected.)

Levels are easily calculated, and the formula is available on-line and in all the DMV literature. Here is one site you can check: http://bloodalcoholcalculator.org/#LinkURL
