I took my last dose of Roxys on Sat. So technically I am on day 3 of NO roxys! HISTORY is was taking 75mg oxycodone (ROXY) for about 4 months. This is not my first rodeo, but I hope it will be my last. I became addicted several years ago after back surgery and it has sucked me in and out for the past 4 years. I was sober and feeling good, them boom it started all over again. I am feeling pretty good on the mental side of things, however my legs are killing me, my sleep is a mess and I am tired and disoriented. I was prescribed ativan to help me with this, short term and ambien. l guess I was just wanting to vent, as today has been the worst.

In your 'venting', you bring up an important point. If someone has a true diagnosis of dependency, care must be used with all medications/drugs that have addictive potential.

Ativan/Ambien certainly fall into that category While they may be used short term for withdrawal symptoms, they should not be used long-term.
