I have a friend that has damage from long term cocaine use. The damage is that she feels no love in her life. She is receiving professional help. My question is will her brain heal from this and do you have any time frame of when it might happen?

Harry L Haroutunian, MD responded:
Recovery is filled with miracles and brains do heal. Each case is individual, so a timeframe is not easy to predict, but be hopeful and have your friend hang out with the winners in recovery and time will pass very quickly.
